Broad sides offer extra protection, and the polycarbonate lenses are impact resistant – both ideal features for active sports. The lens tint is Alti Spectron X6 which absorbs 95% of visible light. Julbo lenses are Optical Class 1 and guarantee 100% protection from UVA, B and C.
(Please note, absorption of visible light is related to comfort, whereas UV absorption is necessary to protect the structures of the eye, which in children are more susceptible to damage as the still developing eye is unable to fully protect itself).
